FLOMAX (Brand Name) Basic drug Tamsulosin. Tamsulosin is alpha-adrenergic blockers. Tamsulosin causes the blood vessels (veins and arteries) to relax and expand, so that blood passes through them more easily. This effect relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Tamsulosin is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). and

AVODART (Brand name) of Basic Drug Dutasteride, which prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is involved in the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dutasteride is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate.

Both are prescribed for different purposes though connected to prostrate. It can be given as advised by your Physicion. -
