When trying to collect a monolopy, whether its 2 or 3 of the same color, they purposefully print lots of 2 of them, and the rare 3rd one is printed seldom, thus why there are only a few winners.

This is why you can have all of them except the 1 you need, again whether its a 2 colors like Board Walk and Park Place, or a 3 piece series.

The money involved means that somewhere, someone IS trying their best to cheat the game and steal the money--and McDonalds' history with Monopoly games hasn't been scandal-free...

From USA TODAY, 5/07/2004...

"Monopoly scandal. Employees for an outside contractor set off a $20 million scam in 2001, involving game pieces to McDonald's Monopoly and Who Wants to be a Millionaire promotions. No McDonald's employees were involved." (Reference from USA TODAY, listed below...)

"Jerome Jacobson, 59, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, could get up to 15 years in prison for conspiracy and mail fraud. No sentencing date was set." (Reference from Mcspotlight.org, listed below...)

Jacobson was responsible for "donating" the 1995 instant win million dollar ticket to St Jude's Hospital in Memphis. An officer in the company who actually ran the contest, he stole the ticket, and intended on pocketing the million bucks. When his intended co-conspirator backed out, he had no choice but to "donate" the ticket... (Reference from CNN.com, listed below...)

No evidence exists to suggest that the 2007 version of McDonald's Monopoly is fixed in any way... The odds are about as high as those associated with winning a state-run lottery--which means you could waste your whole paycheck and just end up with freebie fries and shakes and stuff.
