While Joe Torre is very respected and has achieved many things with the Yankees, he's old and tired. I don't think there's any chance of the Yankees winning or getting to a World Series until hes gone. They may reach the playoffs, but thats about it.

The Yankees need somebody with more life. They probably should have made Randolph the coach after the Red Sox catastrophe. Willie on a National League team doesn't fit right. But Torrre is simply too old and lifeless. I think a coach needs to be able to pump some life into the players. And body language is a good way to do that. Joe on the bench looking prime for a spider to make a nice web doesn't do much for the players energy level I think.

Do you think Joe should be told to take a walk?

This will be the 7th season Torre's failed to bring a World Championship back to New York. All 7 years, they've been saying it could be his last, and all 7 seasons, he's returned. Joe's not going anywhere.

I don't know if you can blame Joe Torre for the pitching performances that the Indians starters and bullpen haveplaced on the Yankees. Too much discredit to the Indians depth and too much blame on Torre for running into a buzzsaw Tribe team.

I can see why you would feel this way but what would another mgr have done differently? You can't sit A-Rod nor would you have Jeter bunt when he owns the opposing pitcher. When you look at it, the Yankees have the best players in baseball and the biggest payroll blame the players.

Torre should be allowed to stay as long as he wants. I'm tired off these primedonnas making all of this money, under achieving and the manager getting fired.

Joe has to go!!! He has turned too sensitive to his players feelings he is afraid to take star players that are slumping out of the game! He use to have no issues taking Tito or Boggs out and reaplace em if they werent cutting it - now he keeps guys in WAY too long and him keeping these stars happy are makin the team lose ALOT!!!!

This is MLB, not your little league team. Pro players don't need an authority figure to give them a rah-rah speech to get them going.
