I hated Cena instantly when he squashed Jericho in their 2005 feud, and then came out with a damn spinner belt, talking about his chain-gang and "real recognising real". From there, while the gimmick was toned down, the fact that he was booked like Superman and went over some of the best wrestlers in the world today kicked in. I just never believed Cena was good enough to get the push he started getting back in 2005, and found the gimmick insulting to my intelligence.

cena got hate because cena has held the title over 2 years the last 2 years has been all cena with edge 2 times.....you get sick and tired of the same wrestler and the same matches....they burned cena out way to quickly and him getting injured is the best that could of happen right now for the wwe.....i like cena to a certain point but after seeing him the champ for over 2 years made me get bored quickly i mean how many times are you going to have cena vs orton i mean if cena didnt get injured orton would of won at no mercy and then cyber sunday they already had them booked for a hell in the cell match were ortons dad would interfer and orton would win....then survivor series had them again in a i quit match were orton would win....then finally it would all end at Armageddon with cena getting the belt back...damn dude thats a lot of ppv's featuring cena and orton and the main reason why it was like that was because stephanie mcmahon is a horrible ****** story writer and doesnt know how to change it up....now that jericho is coming back wwe will finally have some good ratings and some good matches with a great wrestler....

By being constantly rammed down our throats by WWE tat he was the biggest star in the world.
He is another of those guys the WWE have given the ball to who haven't been able to run with it.
There are some guys in WWE who are excellent stars, wrestlers who make us want to watch, but sadly when they get the titles they can't handle it and the fans don't buy them as champions. Examples include Chris Jericho in his first title run (after that he became a bigger star when he had lost it), Ultimate Warrior, Bret Harts first title run, Chris Benoit, Ray Mysterio...
I'm not saying these guys are duds, what I'm saying is that they where better without the added weight.

A couple of people started to hate Cena for being the champion all the time. Then the hate grew through the internet because it became the popular thing to do.
It's really funny to me because people still don't understand that Cena is not the one in charge of making those decisions. McMahon is the one that decides who gets to wear the belt.

Cena is the most hated wrestler in WWE today because he can barely wrestle (he didnt learn how to wrestle when he was in OVW, so WWE should send him back there so he can learn all over again!)...
also, Cena has been champion for 14 mounths (almost), and he was not a deserving champion. many others superstars deserved to be champion.... not Cena...
thats why Cena is so much hated...
by the way, Cena's fans are only litle kids and teenage girls... on RAW this past Monday night, you could actually see some adults holding a huge anti-Cena sign in the front row that said "Cena please drop the belt"

I am quite curious myself how one man who hasn't killed anybody can generate so much hatred. I have been reading the questions and answers here for several months and those are the only "reasons" I can find. "Everybody" hates him but seem to be unable to give valid reasons for their hatred. I kind of suspect that it's just fashionable to hate John Cena right now--there are a lot of impressionable people on Answers who just follow whatever the current trend is. People, don't just "thumbs down" me, prove me wrong. Give some valid reasons why you "hate" John Cena. John Cena is not my favorite wrestler but I don't see any reason to hate him.
