I try to aim better the second time and aim for the legs. Pop their knee caps and you can get them a few times more for the hell of it. =]
But seriously, If I missed a certain someone... Id probably go to any lengths to reach them. Forgetting is usually a last resort, in any circumstance, mainly because it only takes on object or moment to spark up the feelings you once had for that person. So Id say try to reach them.

I know how you feel.
I made a dear friend early this year... July. Then, we had to go our seperate ways. But, I missed her so much, I did all i could to contact her. I eventually contacted her two months later...
It seemed like years, but i did it. Then, just a while back, I met up with her. I had to travel, but it was worth every minute.
I still miss her, but i always think, thanks to that little perseverence, I can call, write, email or chat online to her if I need it.

Go out and find them. It's worth it all.

Every situation and relationship is different as you know. I would make an effort to reach out if the person is important to you. Only then will you know if he or she is willing to make an effort to continue the relationship. You don't know until you try.

Try to reach out. Even if it's not reciprocated, you'd always wonder if the relationship (friendship, romance, or other) would continue.

reach out to them, its so hard to just forget...
even if theyre far away, you can keep in touch with phone calls, iming, or emailing, as you and most of the rest of the world are online...;-) just dont try to drop it, youll never know if you dont try!!!!

if i see a promising result in reaching out, i reach out if i dont i move on.. i wont waste my time thinking about someone who can't make the time to think about me...
