It truly scares me to think of all the things people think are ok nowdays. Unfortunately, I think our society now WILL tolerate anything. I also think there will be consequences.

Have you seen the rest of the questions in this section? We don't need to redefine family marriage; a perfectly serviceable definition already exists. Marriage is the legally recognized lifelong commitment to remain together. What do you think gay marriage would say? "To really, REALLY stay together". Gays aren't breaking up marriages. Look around this section; straight people are breaking up their own marriages. At we say at the present time is that we'll tolerate anything straight people do to disrespect their own marriages.

actually as I first study your question, i'm uncertain. As a member of a Christian Catholic, I could stick to our regulations of being catholic numerous the circumstances. yet hence, I oppose of Christian regulations inspite that there is a passages interior the bible that could desire to contradict the gay marriage. to that end, i'm not oppose to the gay marriage. each and each persons has an own will to be happy and has the remarkable to % no remember if we like that direction or not a minimum of all of us comprehend that we don't injury the persons. this is in comparison to stealing that's to be prevented and extremely against the regulation for it is so unethical. In pertaining to gay marriage, gay couple are conversing and loving one yet another. Do they injury one yet another? honestly NO! Do they injury persons? No! So there is not any injury in gay marriage for this is a demonstration or characterize that they love different like heterosexual many times does.

I don't understand why ANYONE would care about anyone ELSE'S relationships?
Are you present in their bedroom?
Do you get to decide the value of their affections?
And if two gays marry, how exactly would this affect YOU?
I am not that insecure to care all that much about other people's relationships.
And "family values?" What's that? Some of the most unfaithful, lying, cheating, domestic violence ridden, child abusing people, are HETEROSEXUALS.
What a waste of time to define marriage by Religious values.
Look at how happy everyone seems to be.
And to the person who said that gay people cant have children, so what tax benefit would they need?" Okay, then what about MARRIED HETEROSEXUAL couples who CHOOSE not to have kids? Should tax cuts only be given to people with kids? LOL
More excuses to be bigoted.

I also try to imagine why animals have more sensible brain that those folk who prefer homosexuality. Marriage is union of a man and a woman. I believe its a devil within ourself dividing, and causing marriage confusion. People have rights, those right and freedom they have, they either chose the rght way or the bad ways, only whatever they do would be charged for it. I have a question I normal ask and I never get an answer. If president George Bush father was gay and his mother was a lesbian, would we be having George Bush as a president? If my father was a gay, and my mother was a lesbian, was I to be born?If these disease is left alone to corupt the society, would we have future leaders, honorable guests etc? Myself I greatly opposes gay marriages and I don't comprise with such nonsense

First of all, marriage via church definition is supposed to be a way to recognize couples so they can produce children. Since gay couples can't make 'em, there's not supposed to be a religious recognition of this. Living together happy is one thing, being "married" is another. I actually wish there was no such thing as a Justice Of The Peace marriage.
The tax laws are written for married couples to get some help. You declare yourself "married" when there's no physical way to have kids and I question your intent. Double income-no kids (DINK) family situations have it made compared to other brackets. Please don't suggest the adoption route for "double mommies" and "two-daddy families". That shouldn't be happening anyway. Those poor kids are target practice at school.

There are comitted gay couples out there who have no rights legally. They are not asking to redefine marriage, but to have the same legal rights as everyone else with the same legal protections. They can't screw up marriage any more than the straight people already have. A civil union is what they are asking for. They have the union--they want it legal. What are you so worried about? Pursuit of Happiness and Equal Rights for all were two of the founding philosophies of our country. I guess for you, those rights only pertain to people you agree with. Hmmmm.

I am not opposed to gay marriage, I believe they have every right to commit to each other. But I have a problem with any female gay or straight having children and thinking that the child doesn't need the father in their life or of course a gay men thinking a child can be raised without a mother in their life.

I just want to know, other then redefining a word, how does gay marriage impact anyone's lives, other than the gay people that want to get married?
<>
your_uncle_dodge, do you only feel that way about "dinks" that can't have kids because of the obvious biological reason(same sex), or do you feel that way infertile couples, couples that knowingly choose to not have kids, or couples beyond child bearing age also?
