its soooo annoying because that is obviously not what everyone in real life does they must have alot of money or get paid a good wage to be able to do it.
And half of them are not working, and if they are working why are they in the pub, like in corrie, n the factory they work with machines and in their lunchbreak they go and have a pint, that just isnt right

Its ludicrous isn't it. The factory girls in Corrie go in every day for lunch even though they are operating machines! And Dev goes to Roys to buy a coffee when he has a kettle in the shop! No one in Enders has a washing machine! And soap characters walk in and out of jobs without P45s and references!

Okay this is not real life (although I suppose there are some people who are in the pub everyday) but the reality is that soaps need a location where characters who wouldn't normally associate with each other can be in the same place at the same time, hence the pub/cafe/shop or wherever.

I know for instance someone will say 'can you lend me money' and the other person will go 'Can't Iam Skint',but then they go off to the pub a few minutes later and they are there until it closes. Also,Bradley and Max are meant to have well paid jobs, but whenever I see them in a suit there just in the street talking or in the pub.I thought I might also add how whenever there is an argument in the pub,the music suddenly stops.

Hehe yeah, in eastenders that mate of Shirleys was desperate for a job and begging all day. When she finally got the crap job with low wages at the laundrette, what does she do? Goes down the Vic! Priceless..

Yes and they all go to the cafe to drink tea, Don't they have kettles at home?
And in the year 2007 I thought the majority of people have washing machines ( I do and I'm far from rich or anything)

its all a fantisy. soap operas are, in the end, completly pointless. i used to watch some until i found out how bored i really was with them. with all their deaths, affairs, pints, bus crashes, fashion industry downfalls. their list of "tragedys" was never ending

maybe they are all drinking alcohol free beer!

anyway how come in corrie and eastenders that they always go the local caff for sandwich when they could easily nip home and make one for a fraction of the price.
