Blackjack, featuring Michael Bolotin (spelling is correct) and former Kiss guitar slinger Bruce Kulick, put out two albums, "Blackjack" (1978) and "Worlds Apart" (1980).
This band tried to be another hair-rock band, but we've heard Mike trying to be a hard rocker and he didn't sell doing that (Fool's Game, You Wouldn't Know Love, Everybody's Crazy, etc.) It was when he did the cover of "Dock Of The Bay" and got a supporting call from the widow, Mrs. Otis Redding, that Mike decided he knew which side of the bread his butter would be on.
If you're lucky enough to find the CD that put BOTH those Blackjack albums together like I found, check out the tracks "Counting On You", "Heart Of Stone" (both from the first album), and "Breakaway". It is WAY out of print. I believe there were smaller amounts of CDs pressed for both albums individually as well, before the double-up was made.
I bought these from Buccaneer Records in the Baltimore area via catalog in the 90's, and doubt they have them now. Buccaneer was/is a specialist in hard-to-find and import rock. I'm about to go broke from child support issues so I haven't kept up with them.
