I saw the images on tv and thought that she looked like wearing an artificial mask. Her sight reminded me of Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in the movie "Total Recall" when he goes to Mars disguised as a woman. But this is only the 4th face transplantation in the world, the 1st in the US. Techniques will improve, surgeons will develop their know-how and a few years from now results will be expectedly much better. Technology evolves so fast. Considering what she had to go through, this is a giant leap forward for the poor woman. She was rather pretty to start with but ended up with her children being afraid of her because of her looks. I don't know the husband's fate but I would expect he would be in jail. I wouldn't be shocked to know that his peers performed some kind of homemade cosmetic surgery on his face.
