I've never heard that one before...

Tom B, it's generally considered that Suzuki motorbikes could be finished better. As far as I know Yamaha production is extensively automated, but Suzukis are built by hand, and they are mechanically better made than Yamahas, especially when it comes to gearboxes and engines, although if I could have an R1 engine with a GSX-R1000 gearbox...

Some people will get mad at me for saying this, but I believe a Yamaha is a much more higher quality bike than a Suzuki. When I look at a bike I look at the frame welds, the way the frames are lined up and I can notice big differences the way the same model Suzuki bikes are assembled, but the same model of the Yamaha bikes are perfect, no flaws in the welds, every bike is exactly built and lined up the same

George Carlin does it much better, and has for years.

My Yamaha ate starters and over-running clutches.
My Suzuki never had a start related problem. Ever.
