From a business perspective I have to say that it is a trait displayed very often by those who are new to our culture.

I believe that haggling is part of their culture: often when arriving at or completing a job suddenly they wish to renegotiate.

Whilst it isn't a trait that is just confined to iranians it is actually a breach of the contract formed in the initial agreement. Essentially it is not legal in this country. Personally I find it very insulting when someone tries to do this to me. Maybe its time for such people to respect our culture too..?

My prices start as low as I can because I give everyone the best deal I can.. It is insulting to haggle with people it implies they are dishonest and trying to rip you off.

my next door neighbour is an iranian, and he and his family are the nicest neighbours you could wish for. they are really polite, their kids play with mine, and although their culture is different i would rather live next door to these people than some of the idiots which inhabit my street. they are not sneaky

'Sneaky' means not being honest and suchlike.
How can anyone 'generalise' about any race or person. It is silly. There are good people and bad people in every race.
