no im not talking about wicked im just using it as an example.

Are you asking where you can see 'Wicked' in LB? You cannot see that play here. You need to go to LA and watch it at the Pantages Theater. If you are looking for the first run big-name touring shows they are going to be playing Los Angeles or at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.
The theaters in LB are: International City Theater, Long Beach Playhouse, The Garage Theater, The Found Theater, Carpenter Performing Arts Center, California Repertory Company, Musical Theater West, along with our local colleges CSULB and LB City College.
Not bad for a place with 450,000 people.

It's really not that far of a drive to LA or OC to see Wicked. Plus you do have good theatres in LB that show high quality shows. Just look at the entertainment section of the paper to see what's going on.

You have to read the entertainment pages of your newspaper, to see when community theatre plays are announced, or when the touring company of a Broadway show will be coming to a city near you.
