What's important to you? The writing or the seven bucks? If it's the writing, why not post a couple of chapters and see what kind of response you get? Or at least a few pages. It's difficult to see if your writing is worth money if nobody has seen it. The subject is probably very marketable. Lots of prison stories. OZ being the most recent. Very few from the POV of a nurse.
If you want to get some feedback, go to zoetrope.com and register. You can post short stories or flash fiction there and get feedback from other writers. It's completely free and is run by Francis Ford Coppola. Lots of good writers posting everything from screenplays to songs to poetry. Everything you can think of. I post stuff there all the time.

sure, i would buy a book that's insightful for even more than $7! how would you approach it? humerous stories? or maybe a more sober look at prison life and conditions. Would it be an expose' story on the prison health system? Either way, it's an interesting concept and i would love to see more of these books in bookstores.

I think a lot of people would find it interesting. Apart from those who may have had a family member or friend in prison, or been in prison themselves, most of us don't really have any idea what its like inside, apart from what we see on the occasional TV program. I'd say go for it — I think it could be an exciting and informative read.

Yes they would because people are fascinated with the inner workings of a criminal. What brought them here, what kind of relationship do you have with the criminal. How do the prisoners relate to each other. How much is tolerated and overlooked in prison that sort of thing. It would be bought because people want to know about things we cannot see.

It depends on who publish the book and how do you promote your book. The subject seems to be interesting. I wish you good luck.
