I will want to upgrade my graphics card at some point in the near future and I just wanted to know which card would be the better to get comparing any of the nvidia and ATI cards from here :

Nvidia cards :

ATI Cards :

Unless you know of a better card , I did see a physics card or something of the like that it supposed to help so a recomendation of which one of them to get would be helpful as well as letting me know what type of slot they require.

Thanks

The Leadtek 7600GT there is a great bargain. BUT awesome performance comes from the X1950 Pro.
Forget the physics card for now and just put your money on the X1950 Pro. See article in link below.

It uses PCI interface.

hi mate
i have to agree the nvidia geforce 7600gt agp version is a good card, however make sure you check out the versions from each manufacturer,as clock and memory speeds can vary between the manufacturers
the nvidia geforce 7800 GS OC 256MB GDDR3 from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-028-EA&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=411,is a awesome card and one of the best nvidia agp cards avalible
although the clock speed of 430mhz looks a bit on the slow side the other specs make this card what it is,for example the 256MB 1300MHz high speed GDDR3 memory and the 16 pixel pipelines, but most important the 41.6GB/second memory bandwidth, this is the speed at which the g.p.u can access the memory and basically the faster the bandwidth the faster the card can pump out frame rates
although the a.t.i radeon x1950pro is a brilliant card its price can be a tad expensive, however for a good ati radeon card the ATI Radeon X1650 Pro 512MB DDR2 from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-063-HT&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=403,this is a brilliant card with some brilliant specifications
the core clock speed and memory speed of 587mhz and 800mhz respectively makes this great for gaming and the 12 pixel pipelines makes this round about the same power as the 7600gt,however the cooling set up is much better in this card, the awesome ice-q cooling system draws cool air from inside the case and exhausts warm air outwards
this is the best card you can buy for less than £70 and will keep you going until the 8 series nvidia cards drop in price
good luck mate!

Yeah, I have the 1950 in one of my pc's. I have an nVidia in another one I built but, I like the ATI cards better. Current work horse is an ATI card with half a gig of onboard memory. It's pretty potent. I'm an AMD-ATI fan.

Although Nvidia CURRENTLY has the best performing cards (the 8800's) the X1950GT is actually the best performing AGP card available:
