I don't have any favorites-- I enjoy them all. I started reading Greek and Roman myths as a kid, moved into Norse myths and American Indian myths, and on to Celtic. Chinese and Japanese myths have a wonderful relationship with animals. There is often a small magical animal that helps the hero.
How can you pick one favorite from such a wide range of stories?
My reading of myths blurred into a reading of folklore and opened a greater range of reading. That was cool! Did you know the same stories manifest throughout different cultures? For example, there is an Egyptian Cinderella story, a Vietnamese one, a Russian one, and more, as well as the version we usually hear in the US which either comes from Germany or France.
Here's a cool website that uses this as a teaching unit.

Mahabharath which is a hindu mythology (beleived to be happened in India many thousand years ago) is my favorite one. It has all types of emotions, drama, actions and everything. There are innumerable short stories embedded in it. The places mentioned in the myth still exists in India.

Pandora. Because even after all the evil came flying out of the box, Hope was still there. A bit battered and bruised to be sure, but still present to show that no matter what happens to us, there will always be Hope.

Tyr.
The Norse god of law and justice. Tyr rules over the administration of right and honorable justice, so he is invoked for victory and is therefore an important war god. In northern mythology, it is Tyr who sacrifices his hand between the jaws of the Fenris wolf in order to save his fellows gods from destruction.
I have a friend who has it tattooed on his back.
