What you perceive outside is a mirror to how you feel inside.
I can tell you and it really really works, as also myself was in this cave for a while,
LOVE I mean here true unselfish love will free you from this prison, and gives you sunshine and eyes who can see into peoples hearts and suddenly the world is not only two dimensional, but three dimensional and full of colour and sunshine.
Try it out and the chain will break.

The fabric of the shadow is the crux of this sonnet. The shadows are symbols of form, who are actually 3 Dimensional objects. The prisoner only sees very vague and 2 Dimensional shadows and acts at some level, by symbolizing that the shadows are the actual form of the objects.
Befuddled is the prisoner, he does not know of their actual 3 Dimensional form. This is alike to a theory in conceptual physics, where the aliens of a 2 Dimensional universe are mystified by a spray of bullets ripping through the fabric of their universe. Scientists of 2 Dimensional physics quickly determine that they are caused by a certain physical reaction and ascribe the theory of Spontaneous Space Fissure. Analogous to our Universe, there may be higher order dimensions that are not sensed by our evolutions and therefore may cause cognition errors such as scientific theory describing higher dimensional phenomenon in 3 Dimension physics.

Man is duality in every sense of the word. Caught in a dimension of polarity, the makeup of physically being, Hot and cold, love and hate, man and woman, the yin and yang, the ebb and flow. The natural cycles, that very in degree, as the pendulum swings back and forth on the same plane. It's all an illusion, everything is electric, positives, and negatives. nothing is permanent, except for change. Everything will change, and ain't that the truth. I'm sorry your trapped in a cave, hope there is not allot of spiders. Hey, can you make that dogs head shadow? That would be cool.

If you decide you are watching the shadows on the wall is reality, then so be it. You might want to cast your eye to the multi-dimensional things making those shadows - frightening though that may be. Chances are you'll discover a different reality.

I think we're all unchained prisoners in a doorless cave with many fires we started that are casting multiple shadows of our own bodies which tend to scare us into believing any explanation we choose so long as it keeps our inner fears at bay. Then we live our entire lives based on those irrational explanations which we tend to rationalize. Then when those foundations are threatened we resort to any level of violence from one end of the spectrum to the other (i.e hunger strike to terrorism). We should all die and let the cockroaches live in peace. Peace!

That depends on you do you really think that you are? Plato defined the prisoners not only people who haven' study philosophy but people who haven't reached that level of thinking. People that spend their time doing mean less things and don't actually advance their mind and spirit.

he remains imprisoned, yet for a various reason. Feeling at living house in a cage because of the fact it instruments a wall between the worldwide and you does not end your days of imprisonment. It makes you insecure and afraid to stand the worldwide, it imprisons you with the partitions of the cellular itself. Institutionalisation. You grow for use on your ecosystem and you get to appreciate it, it stands out as the only component you will understand. not the worldwide exterior. And as quickly as you get released, you will sense homesick, even worse. you're so linked to it that it imprisons you.

The prisoners in chains are supposed to represent ignorant people.
If you're ignorant then yes, you are one of the chained prisoners.

Nah. Remember that Plato was just another political guy who tried to tell "us" that "you don't know what's REALLY happening!" The Michael Moore of his day? Well, that's a stretch, but you get the idea.
