I've lived in SoCal for 4 years and Im tired of sun everyday! Im still young, I like to have fun, be outdoors, and all that jazz. Ive been thinking about Seattle and just have a few questions.....

- What is rent and parking like in Seattle?
- How is it finding a job?
- What is the early 20s social scene there?
- What are the good and safe neighborhoods there?

Thanks!

Let me first tell you, you have gotton really bad answers from all the other people!

-Rent is very expensive in Seattle. You should expect to pay between $800-1200 a month at least. Parking ranges. Usually from $60-120 a month. But usually if you are renting, parking is free!

-Finding a job in the engineer field can be fairly easy, depending on the kind of education you have, etc...

-The early 20's social scene is good around the university area.

-You can never go wrong in Seattle, most areas are safe. I would try Queen Anne if you are interested in people your age.

Seattle is a great place to live. Obviously the people who gave the other answers have never lived here and just assume things. It does not rain too much in Seattle. It does rain do not get me wrong but it is usually a mist and not bad. Also the climate is very temperate which is very nice. The summers are sunny and not way to hot but still in the upper 80's. There are lots of fun things to do and skiing is great here if you are into that! If you have any other questions just post another and ill reply! Hope this helps!

Finding a job is easy
Don't know about early 20's anymore
Don't go to South Seattle. All other areas are safe.

It's rainy and miserable! I lived there for 5 months.

As for your direct questions, I didn't live there long enough to really be able to answer, but it's really, really miserable.
