Why Indian team players selected by Board not by people of India by Voting, like Indian Idols.?

I do not agree with your views at all. You should go back and find out the reason why Ganguly lost his captaincy and also place in the team. He has been very good cricketer and Captain too. Under his captaincy India have won more number of matches than any other captain. It appears this success crept into his mind and gave place for Ego, which has changed his attitude and behaviour a lot. He entered into many controversies. He was supposed to lead India Seniors in the Challenger Trophy last year. However, he opted out from the Challenger Trophy citing injury problem, which created lot of media hype. In the subsequent matches, he was not available to Captain India and Rahul Dravid was given in the captaincy. Thus a stage had come that Ganguly can come back into the team if he performs well. However, unfortunately his form deteriorated and there has not been much notworthy performances from him after that. Even in the county matches he played, his performance was pathetic. An ideal opportunity was provided to him to prove his worth in the Challenger Trophy. However, his performance with bat and ball was pathetic. Under the circumstances I do not find any reason why he should be included in the Indian Team till he proves his worth in the domestic matches.

The problem lies with the way the selection committee is organized on a Zonal basis and which leads to partiality &
regionalism in the Selection Process.

have u seen the result of selection through votes on Indian Idol. Prashant.has been selected, ooops, sorry, elected as Indian Idol. Amit,Emon,Ankita and Depali are much better than Prashant.

the Indian players selected by the board not be selected the people because not all but around 50% of people are bies and about 30% will vote seeing the looks of the contenders. in my opinion the members of the board undestand cricket better than the general people.

If India have to select the players by voting, India will never be able to play cricket as we are not able to select a stable government for the past many years, leave alone a cricket team.

That would be interesting to watch. Imagine, if by popular vote, Vishwanathan Anand and Rajyavendra Rathore become the openers of the indian cricket team.

If you have ever been to a Ranji, Irani trophy or any domestic matches u'll know. If people dont watch it they wont know who are the best players. Apart from this, imagine your brother playing for a domestic team or you. Won't you be biased??

then it becomes necessary that all Indians must be aware of cricket , which i think is impossible ,to judge who is the best.
also most of the people will be contestants than being judges
