The post graduate part is what piqued my interest. Has he moved on through the system, or is he having trouble completing his studies in an adequate fashion?

He seems to feel as though your class (TRANSLATED INTO YOU PERSONALLY) is bringing him a great deal of suffering and hardship, even financially. Made worse by perhaps some advise you've given him.

Therefore, he's saying you should advise future students to be more concerned with material success rather than academic excellence.

I would placate and patronize this letter in a response, if you feel you must resond:

"I appreciate the insight you've shown me, Saravanan. I will take this advice into consideration with future students."

i think what ever your doing as long as it gives meaning to your existence, continue it don't let others define or tell you what to do because what ever you do at the end of the day it is always your *** which is on the line. to reply or not to reply is in your hands, but here is something for you to think about what's done is done.

Wish him the best in his endeavors in life. He has a right to judge and to speak it and that is why it is forgiven.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

Is this person trying to tell you not to have children?

I would try to talk to this person and try to make sense of it.

Don't address it in class.
