Guessing here...My first thought was 'sculpture for 3-d' OR...
3-d Movies?
2-d Music?

Three dimensional; art has shape.As in a sculpture.Flat is two dimensional.Motive art should actually move.Such as a 'mobile'.The medium you chose may determine what is 3-D.
