Notre Dame upsets UCLA 21 to 14.

...not an Irish fan... and no axe to grind against UCLA.

ND plays close games bc they little offense, but good defense. Also, they beat teams like Purdue, BYU, and Pitt by 3 or less or in OT. Close games means high variance for them in losing, so it's not unlikely. It's even more unlikely they will blow them out, so 5 seems reasonable. And like you said, bookies know their sh*t. Even if the line was way off what most people were thinking, the bets would be overspread on one side and the line would move to adjust for this unbalance. Imo, Oregon would be a favorite over them. UCLA/Oregon state/Stanford would all be +1/-1. USC's defense is pretty shaky this season though. As a UT fan, it's nice to see Kiffin blow such an easy season. @super-hero, no bookie in his right mind would make this a 14 pt spread. Their average margin of victory (AMV) this season has been 17 points and mostly against much worst opponents than USC.

Hmmmm who are they playing?? UCLA I know. Yea it is 0-6 for them. I even think the Citadel has a chance of beating ND right now. They just aren't any good.

0-6, on the road to 0-8 before the titanic battle with Navy.

UCLA annihilates them in the Rose Bowl.
