My husband and I were working on an old window air conditioner and our son (3-4 yrs old at the time) was outside w/ us. He wouldn't stop running under us so we sent him to play over by the dog, which was tied up about 15-20 yards away and in plain sight of us.
After about 2-3 minutes we heard Caleb (our black lab) barking and then heard our son yell, "No, No Caleb!" When we turned to look the dog was jumping around our son in circles. When my husband yelled, "No Caleb!" The dog took off running and that was when we noticed that the dog's cable that he was tied up with was around our son's neck.
Caleb took off running and I"ll never forget the look on our son's face when that cable tighted around his little neck and he feel to the ground. The dog drug him about 10 feet and he looked like a rag doll being drug through the dirt and I could hear him screaming for me, then he just laid there, silent, like he was dead. We ran over as fast as would could (just as soon as we noticed the cabel was around his neck), then he screamed out again.
The whole thing only lasted about 10 seconds, but it felt like an eternity at the time. I still cry when I think about it. Our son had cable burns and cuts all the way around his little neck.
Needless to say we no longer tie up any of our dogs. Our son is of course fine now and has no scars, nor did he develop a fear of the dog. But I will never forget that as long as I live. That was the most I have ever been scared in my life...the thought that my son was dead.

i replaced into utilising an SUV down the interstate with my mom and nephew interior the automobile. We have been immediately beside a semi truck--my automobile interior the different lane commonplace between the front of his truck and the back of his truck. The dude only starts to merge over interior the lane like we weren't even there. I swerved, honked the horn, and placed my foot on the gasoline so as that optimistically i could get faraway from him. I fairly made it previous him. If I hadn't been paying interest to the line or if I had on reflection at my nephew or over at my mom for a cut up 2d we would have all been lifeless. My adrenaline replaced into pumping so confusing and that i replaced into so indignant good afterwards that i will have strangled that driving force to dying devoid of blinking an eye fixed. yet then i found out how close we had come to death. somewhat my nephew he replaced into purely 3 y/o. The scariest area replaced into the assumption-approximately some thing happening to my nephew.

Once I was walking home through town with my two best friends and this weird guy started following us. We dived in a lot of bushes and just hid there for ages, but when we came out he was still following us and making it fairly clear. I was probably the most scared because I walk with walking sticks and am disabled, I thought that it was fairly unlikely I would be able to run away or fight back like my friends. In the end, though, we just walked all the way to my friend's grandmother's house. I was scared but obviously we couldn't run or that would have made it really obvious.
And once when I was having a sleepover, something started knocking on the window. We'd been watching the "Saw" series and were petrified. I am officially the "mom" figure in our group, so it was left to me to jimmy the window open and creep out holding one of my walking sticks like a gun, like it could have done anything if a sadist killer decided to leap on me. There was nothing, which was a huge relief until I started walking back towards the window when suddenly everyone in my room started to scream. I nearly had a heart attack and ran as fast as I could back to my window, only to find that all the lights had gone out. We were so, so scared (but guess who it rested on to go recover the torches from the lobby?) and just stayed awake all night until the lights came back on. No-one was mutilated, thank God.

I was on the phone with a friend in the dark - the power had gone out, so I thought I'd pass the time talking. I was alone in the house (or at least I thought I was) when all of a sudden a hand grabbed my forehead and a knife was placed at my throat! I dropped the phone and damn near had a heart- attack! My friend was calling out my name, asking what was wrong. The knife was slowly rubbed up and down my throat for a few minutes, and then I heard my brother's voice laughing and saying, "I got you!" I could have killed him!

once I drank a bunch of alcohol and then without thinking about the consequences I took a couple muscle relaxers and I ended up passing out on a trampoline. I woke up in the middle of the night because I was going to get sick and I couldn't move. I thought I was dying and I was lucky I was sleeping on my stomach or I would've died.

Being a volunteer firefighter. Me and another fellow firefighter were attacking a structure fire through main door. We inched our way in when we decided it was getting to hot And backed out. No sooner had we backed out when the roof collapsed right where we were. Talk about your life flashing before your eyes.
