Hmm, I never really thought about this. If I grew up with an awful name that stigmatized my childhood and scarred me forever, yup, I might have climbed up a soapbox to preach against unfair naming of defenseless infants.

Another thing you can do is apply for a name change in a completely different city, then move away to another different city and begin your life all over again there.

It's a human right to be treated as a person with a name rather than a thing without a name. What would it be like if all children were nameless and called "it"? How would they build their personality if they were not confirmed as individual persons?
I changed my name when I was old enough to do so (my given name was the most horrible I can imagine) and I've never felt violated for having a name before that.

Well, is it a violation of human rights for your parents to have to care for you until the age of 18?

If you are old enough, change it.

Well I feel it's a total violation not to be able to choose beautiful, rich parents..but u don't see me complain!

well, i don't think you're able to chose your name when you're born, but if you don't like it then you can change it when you're older.
