Look, I would consider myself a traditionalist, and the 72 Dolphins did beat my Redskins to win the Superbowl. But the game has change so much, players bigger, stronger, faster. The players train year round. The offensive and defensive schemes are much more complicated/refined. I would have to say that even the worst 2007 NFL team (fill in derogatory comments here) would beat the 72' Dolphins.

This years Browns could beat the 72 dolphins, you want to talk about great teams, your looking in the wrong city. Go to Chicago or SanFran, Dallas or Greenbay, those cities will give you the best teams in history, not Miami.

No, every season we have the same question with some team but the reality is that the last 3 or 4 games coaches start playing their reserves to keep their stars healthy for the playoffs.

Its almost impossible to compare teams from 2 different eras. If the Patriots don't go undefeated, they weren't as good.
17-0 w/ a superbowl is a pretty impressive feat though.
