The following websites offer links to media around the world, from mainstream providers to regional and local sources. You can find out where the news came from by checking the links they direct you to:

http://www.wnnmedia.com/

http://www.nndb.com/

This one will connect you to the current issue of any one of thousands of newspapers from around the world:

http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/

However, it will always be up to you to decide the value of what you read or hear.

Cheers :-)

The easiest way to go get news outside of american channels would probably be the BBC World News. I'm getting the gist that you do live in America, and the channel it's on is called BBCAmerica (original, right?). It would be pretty high up in the rare channels, but it's a nice break from all the other news stations if you can get it.

Pick any city in the world .Search that city - newspapers . You'll likely find a newspaper , & in major cities , probably at least one in English . I spend much of my online time reading newspapers . Daily Star of Lebanon , Toronto Star , Kiev Post , Calcutta Telegraph, International Herald Tribune, Christian Science Moniter( despite the religious affiliation , it's quite good & ~impartial )are a few good ones . There are good American publications also , maybe you just haven't got the right ones? Go to as many as possible , between all of this ( & more ) you can figure out what's goin' on . (& when you just can't take anymore of it , there's always The Onion , The Daily Show, & The Colbert Report (parody- mostly) , the latter two on comedycentral.com )
