The girl was resisting arrest and the police officer told her literally over 20 times to stop resisting or he would have to use force. He also told her he did not want to use force. She kept resisting anyways and then she bit him and whined when he did what he had been saying he would do - use force; which consisting of him macing her. He did not even spray the mace directly in her face and that is VERY clear in the video.

He even walked over in front of the camera to do it so everyone could see exactly what was going on.

If THAT is police brutality and he gets in trouble, I am scared for the police that risk their lives to protect ours.

I saw the footage. It is as others said. The told here many, many times to comply. They kept trying to use holds on her which are designed to not injure the suspect. She kept at it and at it and bit the officer so they pepper sprayed her.

Some of her family are claiming excessive force. Yes the police do mess up but how would that family feel if it was someone who would effect their lives. Someone drunk or methed up steps in front of their car, there is an accident and someone is hurt. Then it would be "the police don't do enough". Yes, lots of people complain about the police but when they need one there in 3 minutes they have no issues calling.

I don't get it. When you are busted you are busted. If even guilty just going calmly would help in court. Regardless the job of the police is to get the person to jail w. the least damage possible and let the court sort it out.

In this video age lots are are this excessive force pepper spray and Taser thing. Would they prefer the old days where they would just crack someone on the head with a baton?

The girl, a 15 yr. old (a JUVENILE), violently resisted arrest and tried several times to bite the officer. The officer was quite tolerant, advising her to cease resisting and calm down. She succeeded in biting the officer--outright assault on a police officer. He properly used mace to gain control and she continued to resist.

It's somewhere here, where the BLACK family of the girl allege he officer punched the girl on the back of the head.

I've seen the video: The officer did NOT strike the girl. His hand was behind her head and SHE BUCKED her head back and struck his hand!!!

Evidently, this BLACK JUVENILE has NO regard for police authority--espicially WHITE police officers in general. And if she doesn't respect the Law, it's a safe bet her parents don't either. So now, they're using the "police brutality" cry and rae card, hoping weak police administration will cave in.

The officer was well within legal scope of his duties. I support his handling of the matter.

And being the suspect is a JUVENILE, the girl will likely skate free n' clear, with a kind loving pat on the back....knowing her record will be sealed and cleared upon her 18th birthday. In America, JUVENILES are fast becoming the violent offenders---knowing they will be cleared. And by so doing--America is condoning Juvenile violence!!!! How dumb is that????

Today's JUVENILE CRIMINALS are no angels!!! I support reforms on how the Law regards JUVENILE criminals.

Sometimes police get out of hand. However, this was not one of those times. This girl was told numerous time to stop resisting and to put her hands behind her back. She kept wrestling around and then eventually bit the officer on the arm. At that time he gave her a strike to the head with his hand and then pepper sprayed her.

Then and only then did she decide to comply.

Too bad that the whiny liberals with say that the officer should have been "nicer" to the girl.
