I agree that the list of horrors goes a long way, but truly, I think these things have been going on for centuries. The difference now is that we have the media. TV, news channels, radio, internet and a host of vehicles for exposing and moving bad news events. If only good news could move as quickly, but of course that would be dull (sarcastic). Why is it that bad news is so newsworthy and good news is reported if there happens to be space for it? Shame.
