only if it was my old home that I grew up in. I loved all the nooks and crannies that I could hide and play . I would also like to live the life I lived as a kid, carefree, happy, fun loving, athletic, eager to learn, but now as a senior citizen, I'm content to be in this house that I have brought up all my kids and shared with a wonderful man for 45 yrs.I do go back to my other house and life, only in my dreams.

I grew up in a really nice beachside suburb of Sydney, Australia. Back in the "50's and '60's life there was pretty simple and fun - as teenagers we "lived" on the beach, surfed and sunbathed (didn't know about skin cancer in those days!) and danced at the local hop.
I moved to many parts of Australia during my marriage, then settled in Queensland, and got divorced.
When my new partner and I were looking for somewhere nice to live, we found this area north of Brisbane, just near the beach, which is lined with Norfolk Island pine trees just like our old home town. He comes from there, too. Up here in Queensland, life chugs along a little slower than it does down south in my home town, and really, its just as if we live back there again. It looks the same, and feels the same as in the "60's. We bought an apartment with a view across the bay, and can walk to the beach. We're so happy here, its like living in paradise.

Well I did move away from my hometown in 1978 and now after almost 30 years, I am back. (The reason for me coming home is in my profile.) This town has changed so much, it is unreal. I now work at the local school, even work with some of the kids that I went to school with. We go down memory lane a lot. All I can say is it is GREAT TO BE BACK HOME AGAIN! I am home for good now, (or at least until I retire), then I may move to our family lake.

It's grown much bigger well over 4million people. but the neighbourhood I grew up in is still the same, we lived across the road from a small lake, and although now ,the teenagers have taken it over on the week-end for windsurfing (I can't complain, because in the early to late 80"s we also did a lot of windsurfing). I would love to live there again. Unfortunately South Africa is now a very dangerous place to live.

Grew upas a teenager in a small town on the CT shoreline and was last back there over 20 years ago and didn't like what I saw then and certainlng know I would not want to go back to live there. Too expensive.
Checked out the old town and neighborhood on "Google earth" not long ago.

Oh yes, I would love for this little town to go back 30 but not 40 years. We had nothing here 40 years ago apart from the main street. But it is beautiful now so I'm really not complaining.

I grew up in a small town and always wanted to live in a larger city near by. When I did move to the "city" I loved it! When I purchased my home, it was about 2 miles from where I grew up. My children went to some of the same schools that I attended and even had some of the same teachers that I had. Many of my new neighbors have kids that I went to school with. One of my neighbors was my science teacher in jr. high and he was also my sons science teacher! I think it helped me bond a friendship with my neighbors.

I live now in the same house that I grew up in...can I have my neighbourhood return to what it was then? Please?
I am not best pleased with all the gang activity that goes on two short streets from my front door now.

There were two places I was as a teenager, one was great and I would love to live there, especially if everything would be the same as it was. The other place...no way.
