A caller today suggested that he run, just to get in the debates, because he debates so well. Rush said he can't do that because he might win, and he doesn't want to be president. But could he?

Ms Wheedler, apparently the democrats in congress take Rush seriously. Serious enough to sign a letter and send it to Clear Channel Communications, serious enough to rant about him on the house floor, serious enough to suggest "censuring" him, which they can't do because he's not a member of congress. So, you are wrong. About this, and probably much more.

I would vote for him....he makes sense. A lot more sense than people like Nancy Pelosi or Hillary and Obama.

Go Rush!

Rush Limbaugh "debates so well?" I don't think that's as true as you think. Limbaugh almost never speaks in any venue aside from his radio show, where he enjoys a limited caller pool, a call screener, and a mute button.

In all likelihood, Limbaugh would end up being humiliated in a presidential debate. If you can find Limbaugh's appearance on the David Letterman show, check out just how vulnerable he is. Even my Republican sister laughed out loud at him.

Personally, I wouldn't support him. I've been listening to him for fifteen years, and I still don't know what he'd stand for. Mostly I can only think of clichés and criticisms to the Democrats. And I know he's a recovering drug addict, so that's a bit of a down side.

Although I am a part time listener of Rush, the answer is no. However, if he wants to begin by running for congress, then graduating to the senate, or Has a large state governorship under his belt. The I'd highly consider it.

Rush is smart and knows his stuff... but no.... I am not sure he would do well in the elected political forum. Too many restrictions and he like the $$$$ he is making on the air. He is also doing his fair share to help this country. It would depend on who else is running as to if I would vote for him or not. I like Rush... but probably would not.

Ms. Wheedler... Rush has 20 million listeners... that is the most listened to talk show on Radio... "Nobody takes Rush seriously but for a hand few of loyalists."???? Uh.... OK????

I believe I would support Rush IF!! he ran for the Presidency. He would not win because of the left controlling the media. the would portray him as Hitler incarnate' even though conservatism is so far from Fascism, it's not funny.

Rush would not stand any chance of even winning the GOP nomination let alone a national election. What's the neo-cons favorite line? Oh yea, he'd be to polarizing.

Rush would make a great president. I like him better than the current candidates, on either side.

He would not run because if enough people knew about him, he would be of the air because of being a buffoon. His whole skit is to insult people, that does not qualify you to be a president

How does Rush Limbaugh debate well. His calls are screened. They don't allow people to talk to him that would make him look bad. If they squeak through, he doesn't let them have air time and cuts them off. He cannot debate.

He would get less votes than Ralph Nader and he knows it. I am being serious about that.

Sweetie, they were discussing Rush on the radio this morning. Nobody takes Rush seriously but for a hand few of loyalists. I think he is suppose to be a political humorist - but he just "lacks the nack."

What congress is doing re: Rush, is just payback for the scene congressional members made re: moveon.org, exposing hypocrisy.

What goes around, comes around. Now can we move on?

Note to That Guy: I don't know if your numbers are correct, but people listen to him just to see what outrages thing he will say on the airwaves and get away with it (freedom of speech). That being said, does not mean that they are "Rush Loyalists." Few actually take him seriously, and I stand by that statement.
