It sure is moving that way, it might happen subtly hoping the people keep slumbering there way into a one world government otherwise it could be a second civil war.

Of course it will, or some other Union.
We all know there is going to be a World Government. The only question is whose form of government is going to be dominant?
Frankly, being a patriot, I hope it's ours.
The fact that the Universal Bill of Rights was so strongly influenced by our own is helpful. The Geneva Conventions were strongly influenced by us as well.
I'd like to see it go the way of the "Federation" of Star Trek fame, but who knows.
We lose if we don't take a lead, early. Someone else will. I can think of many governments I DON'T want to see leading that movement.

I'm afraid things have already been signed into action and much more is coming. It makes me sick to my stomach. The only thing one can hope for is that Canadian and Mexican tax payers will have to divvy up for defense.

In the long term the answer would have to be yes, already rumours of a common currency, USA/Mexico/Canada, that would be the first step.
