(9) Since March 1996, Iraq has systematically sought to deny weapons inspectors from the United Nations Special Commission on Iraq (UNSCOM) access to key facilities and documents, has on several occasions endangered the safe operation of UNSCOM helicopters transporting UNSCOM personnel in Iraq, and has persisted in a pattern of deception and concealment regarding the history of its weapons of mass destruction programs.

(10) On August 5, 1998, Iraq ceased all cooperation with UNSCOM, and subsequently threatened to end long-term monitoring activities by the International Atomic Energy Agency and UNSCOM.

Would this make anyone else suspicious of Hussein's intentions?

Okay how would we feel if the UN came in and tried to question us about our stuff. Iraq was set up and this country is just being picked on since we knew we could take over it without lifting a finger. Since we are too afraid to attack iran or north korea because their armies would be a challenge and you know us Americans we like everything easy and fast. Iraq I believe was a war of boredom and trying to act like the US was in charge of the world still. Plus everyone answering this question. Did you really believe that Iraq was a threat to us? If you did then please convince me that it was the right thing to do. GO USA!!!!!!

I've been wondering when someone would bring this up.

How dare you assail us with facts.

Some of us actually watched the news and read the newspapers during that time. I find the nonsense and short-memory of some Americans stunningly contemptible.

Thank you for a dose of fact. Some Democrats appreciate it.

Please do yourself a favor and at least try to rise above the rest of the tiresome Iraq War apologists.
