my employer let me go today. I was only with the firm for 2 months. their bases for letting me go was b/c a security guard from their clients building accused me of a false accusation. He stated that I threw something at him; i denied the claim and requested to review the sureilance tape...they said no. They cherish the client b/c its the firms bread and butter;even though the guard wrks for the management companie not associated directly for the the firms client; my boss didn't want any bad reviews period. that was half the reason and the other was b/c they said I was not progressing, which is bs b/c the other day I was told I was doing good. I want to bring a separate civil suit against the guard for making an outlandish, falsue claim which cost me my job and for slander. sorry for repeating, just want to stated the fact. I'm so pist. advises would be nice.

If somebody accuses you of something which is detrimental to your livelihood, which is not true, you may have a claim for action.

I'd see an attorney.

I can understand your anger, but that sounds like a very screwed-up outfit - getting offed by them might be the best thing that happened to you in the last two months.

You can waste a lot of time and energy attempting to get retribution, but there's no guarantee of success. Try to put it behind you and hopefully you'll find a better group of people to work with in the very near future. Good luck!

You can sue the guard but you must prove that what he said is false. Truth is a defense to slander.

unfortunately, you have not been there long enough to claim any respectable damages. as many of these types of cases are based on time at job.
