I don't agree with your premise. Racism is a very destructive ideation. It seriously limits a racists opportunities to learn the values of other cultures, and ethnicities. It is also a mechanism used by racists for upgrading their own sense of power, and self worth. I think they are really just ignorant, and fearful.

The people I know that are racist aren't Christians. They are ignorant.

A racist could be almost anybody. Christians certainly don't have a monopoly on being racist.
In fact, with this kind of question, you could be considered a racist.

Any one that hates can not be a Christian. They are just fooling themselves and terribly misguided souls. I can claim to be whatever I want but that does not make it so, correct? Just like them.

We're all tempted to turn a few personal experiences into a global generalization. Like you just did! The devil just wants to take away our peace however he can! (At least you shared what you were thinking. Thanks!)
