Although unmarried, I could not be happier about having my first child! I'm only 5 weeks but have loved these names since childhood. Freeman Zaire for a boy; Lark Alexandria or Journey Marie for a girl. Both parents are African-American.

I like Journey Marie quite a bit. Have you considered Sojourner, with Journey as a nickname?
Lark Alexandria is okay, too.
I don't much care for Freeman, though Zaire is a good middle name.

I love Freeman Zaire! I would pick Lark Alexandria for a girl. I hope it's a boy, Freeman Zaire is an awesome name!!

Picture these names on a resume. Would you hire someone named Journey? Who or what is a Journey?
Lark is pretty for a girl. Freeman sounds like a fat old man or someone's last name. Sorry.

Coming from the 60s -70's era I would have to agree with "Because I said so" but they are awesome names! I do like them But......
I also want to point out that you may be stereo typing your children which may not be good for for them in the future.
We come from an interracial middle class family but all with very normal anglo saxon names and I think it still "opens more doors" of opportunity. Remember I grew up in the 60's
Stick with the Freeman if you like but you can also use it as a middle name
Lark is great
Journey is a so-so

I love Zaire. Thatz going to be my baby's name if itz a boy (Taylan Zaire). And Journey is ok, but I don't like Marie. Hope this helps! =)

You have picked out great names. I kinda thought that Lark was a boy's name... but it would make a great girls name! It's also easy to spell and pronounce.
