First, I would probably be hosting a Cup finals party at my house. A countdown would ensue: 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - game over!!! I would crank "We are the Champions" on the stereo and start dancing around, hugging my friends & family; toasting champagne; taking photos/video and then would probably start balling....then, go tooting my car around the neighbourhood (because knowing the Leafs were actually IN the Cup finals, my car would be already all decked out/decorated for the occasion!). Then, I would party ALL NIGHT....and take a weeks vacation from work and start making plans to head to Toronto for the parade!

The next day, I would probably be reaching for some motrin and a few cups of coffee and a copy of the Toronto Sun....for memorabilia. Then, I would go & visit my Dad's grave and share a moment....

This would be a dream come true....truly!

They won't... Get used to the idea...


Just because whenever the Leafs win back to back games, some over-zealous fans start to plan the parade, doesn't mean they're actually going to do any good...

They're still trying to make a goaltender out of the cosmic mistake known as Andrew Raycroft... They have a GM that has thrown money at some VERY over priced D... McCabe is a badly overpaid, and Kubina would be overpaid if he made the league minimum...

And Mats Sundin isn't half the leader Dougie Gilmour or Wendel Clark was...

If they want to win a cup, John Ferguson Jr. must go...

I laugh just thinking about it. They haven't won the cup since like the 60's even with the additions of blake and toskala they just don't have what it takes to take the cup this year. Sundins getting old and they are just an average team that finishes right in the middle of the standings so they are unable to get good draft picks in order to undergo a much needed rebuilding process. I can't see them hoisting the cup for at least another 5-10 years. Back to your origional question, I would be outraged because I can't stand the Maple Leafs and Darcy Tucker, I'm a Sabres fan.

If the Avs and Pens aren't around for the Finals, if they get eliminated early, and the Leafs beat the Red Wings in the Final, I will be sooooooo damn happy! I might even fly over to Toronto to have some of that Molson with 288 and Chris! Then we'll run through the streets completely hammered yelling LEAFS RULE!!! and turning cars over and setting things on fire!

i was going nuts when Sundin had his 389th goal as a Leaf. yesterday i went to a St.Michael's game(OHL)& was screaming at the top of my lungs when they came back to win the game in SO 5-4 from0-2. currently i have lost my voice & my throat hurts from all that screaming. & lemme tell u, i have NEVER, never in my entire life have lost my voice & i scream/yell a lot. can u imagine how I would b if the LEAFS won the Cup??!!

I'd applaud them, whenever an underdog team wins or heck even makes the playoffs it's a great thing. It shuts teams up like Detroit and other teams who always have good years. Go for it Leafs!

Maria, you can't be the happiest person --that's my job.! Well, I'll share if you want. At any rate, the earth would truly stop rotating, the stars might just fall from the sky, hell would freeze over, the rivers would all stop running...Okay I'm exaggerating a little... I think. Anyhow, all would be good!

As much as it would be my dream come true I don't think I need to worry about it this year.
BUT... if they did, I get to don my "Captain Leafer" costume I came up with many years ago and drunken car surf like a complete lunatic. Then I'd come to a few days later not knowing exactly where I've been or what I've done in my state of delerium.

I would feel that the leafs had fired Ferguson and Maurice and traded away the rest of the bums (except Wade).
