I used to be a very avid supporter of him. I still share his fundamental beliefs about conservatism and patriotism. Like him, I am a conservative first and a Republican second.
However, I've stopped listening to his radio show. I've noticed that his comments toward liberal or other callers who disagree with him have become pretty scathing. Also, while important, the dialogue of his shows doesn't ALWAYS have to involve defending Rudy's and Mitt's record and citing ills against Hillary and Obama. Surely he could highlight more positives within the current conservative movement. Same goes with his TV show, H&C.
Please, give me polite but honest answers. It's not like I'm becoming a lib at all here, but Hannity is REALLY disappointing me more and more (as are Ingraham and Levin, but I still like Rush.)
As a side note, supposedly Hannity's wife has filed to divorce him. That's a shame.
(I know I've already asked this.)

melanie: I asked for polite answers. I'm very conservative and proud of it, I'm just disappointed in what Hannity may be becoming. Don't give me attitude, you...I won't say it. You must be a stuck-up yankee.

You ever listened to how a conservative is treated when they call into the few liberal talk shows? It isn't pretty.

Sean Hannity seems to be unable to freely think his politics, and I'm not trying to be rude. I see I'm not the only one here who has noticed the majority of his opinions are mirror images of the Bush administration, other conservative talk show hosts, and republican candidates, even when one has a different idea than the other, you can easily catch him agreeing with both, thus he's so much of a copy cat he contradicts himself.
My favorite Conservative is Larry Kudlow, and if you compare the two, you'll notice Kudlow seems to come up with his own thoughts, sometimes disagrees with republicans, including the president, and his thoughts are his, not FOX news's (or CNBC's in his case). Sean Hannity is the exact same as Bill O'Reilly and Niel Cavuto, their opinions seem scripted, and any opinion against theirs is automatically wrong, even if the other guy is right.
On Kudlow and company, Larry might think one thing at first, and then a guest may make a good point against his origional opinion, causing a natural shift. But when Reagan's former economic advisor comes on, you will notice everything he says agrees with Larry Kudlow, George Bush, etc., and baisically acts as a mirror. That's what Sean Hannity is. Plus most people can't stand his arrogant personality- he doesn't give anyone who disagrees any valid ground to stand on. I don't know how people can watch his show and not see the presidential mirror.

You say his comment recently became scathing? I would hate to here him know. You would classify me as a liberal, but I do sometimes catch ORielly, and even agree with some things he says, but Hannity just seems like he is not happy unless he is being sarcastic and smug about everybody. Being hateful about deferent views gets you nowhere but into a war. You should really try to be a bit open minded, look at why Iran supports Palestine instead of Israel, think about why a country does not agree with the U.S. view of the world. When you stop looking at everything through red, white and blue glasses you get a whole new perspective on the world.
By the way, I use to listen to Rush, but then I realized it was not a comedy show, he seriously hated trees and animals and anything that did not look and think like him...what a bitter view of the world it must be.How much more sense it is when you can understand what other people are thinking instead of just hating

I used to listen to Hannity until I found someone better. Personally I think Hannity is a "Bush Bot" that goes along with everything the president does and says. I can't stand it anymore. I am not a liberal and I tend to lean towards the conservative side so I agree with his values. Now...this may say a lot about me but whatever. The talk show I listen to now is "Michael Savage" He is quite extreme most of the time but I feel he speaks to me in a way no other host has. To me, he is the only one saying what needs to be said. He criticizes Bush and everyone else. He has a strong opinion and offends a lot of people. If your interested check out www. michaelsavage.com
That's just my opinion.

I used to listen to Sean every day on the way home form work but not any more. I am still a conservative but Sean seems like a whiner lately. I think he takes some stuff too seriously. I love Rush's show, he smart and funny if you can figure out his sense of humor. I like that Sean supports the troops, he does a real good job with that but I think he needs to lighten up a bit.

I agree to some extent. I wish Sean would have somthing more postive to say, but that is not completely his fault.
But since Hillary and the left are hell bent on the politics of smear. I think he is good weapon for that purpose.
The right does not have a strong canidate. End of strory. So to motivate the right to vote you will see allot expostion on Hillary.
He is 100% correct about her. She is not a liberal she is a radical.
The way it is now
If you don't vote conservative you will lose more liberty than if you vote liberal or don't vote at all.
It is a lose lose situtation for conservatives, just a matter of how much they want to lose.

I even have discovered him to have merely approximately too constrained a perspective. i will pay attention for an hour or so yet then whilst he starts off to repeat and repeat his factors interior the 2d or 0.33 hour I zone out thoroughly. i'm very dissappointed interior the coach because it has spun thoroughly downward over the final 15 months or so. i comprehend he does not % Hillary to win. ok, have been given it the 1st 9,000 circumstances it grew to become into stated.

As a conservative, I share many of his views, but I find his style a little grating. 1) Name calling: "Ok, big lib from New York. Tell me where I'm wrong." 2) Endless re-reading of his talking points and playing of his audio cuts. 3) light in the humor department. 4) cutting his callers off after he's hogged the whole conversation. "Gotta move on. I'm up against a hard break."

Perhaps, he's feed up with being a constant target of like attacks and is beginning to feel it does us all an injustice to continue to sit back nobly and politely.
Especially, when facing what is bound to be an ugly presidential election - we have a Clinton running and the air is already full of lies and promises that will never be realized. Someone needs to point out the farce that she is trying to inflict upon our country and someone needs to be adamant about it.

I am still an avid supporter of him. I think that it is best to be polite up to a point but politeness does not include being a fool. He is correct to shine the light on liberals and their flawed ideas. If that appears rude then too bad.

I tend to agree with your observations. I have always been a conservative. Hannity just keeps treating people mean. He ridicules and insults people, cuts people off when they make a point. I think his style is going to come back and be costly to the conservative cause, but Hannity probably doesn't care, he is laughing to the bank, all he cares is about ratings and the healthy income he gets.
