Consider also FloJo whose world records still stand (??). She died at 37. Was that natural causes?

Yes she should lose all medals and awards won during the time she was using drugs. Just like Ben, and several others.

Flo Jo was suspected, but never proven, so is the women's 10K record holder from China, whose coach and team has been banned by the Chinese.

The Russians and East Germans had state sponsored cheating and got away with it at the time.
Several of their athletes have sued the government and coaches because they really did not know what was being done to them.

Testing is getting better all of the time, but the cheaters will always remain ahead of the tests.
Hopefully if they realized they will be caught and punished, whether it is being banned, and fined, or even jail time, most will not cheat, and the people who are tempted to cheat will not.

Most track and field athletes do not take drugs. In fact track and field is ranked 20th in percentage of positive testing, and tests more often than any other sport. The problem is that the other sports do not get the publicity. Think about the weight lifters and wrestlers, swimmers, gymnasts, it is rare that their positives make world head lines.

Yes. The International Olympic Committee announced it has started the process to strip her of her medals.

When they review her samples that were tested at the Olympics and find the substance "the clear" they will strip her of her medals.....and yes there are many track and field athletes who are not on banded substances.

Yes, she will lose her Medals, I'm sorry to say but most track and field athletes take something. At least that's what it seems like.

She most certainly should lose her medals.. all of them .. and whomever was next in line should get them. I think this is awful that she lied about this for so long./

And yes.. I think there are many who are using drugs.. and the committee is just not watching close enough.

She should lose her medals. I believe that there are drug free athletes despite this controversy.

She became awesome in giving decrease back the awards, she might have lost them besides whilst the IOC finished their analyze. She could have some money issues via fact there's a clause in her shoe and endorsement contracts that limit cheating and different acts. the only way she became caught became via fact she perjured herself in the Federal analyze. the pinnacle of Balco plead out and have been given homestead confinement, i think of he could desire to have performed a number of years in reformatory, her coach, is calling forward to trial. The IOC will actually require the different participants of the relay team to return their medals, via fact the gang would be disqualified. it fairly is not truthful, yet neither is life, and the gang might have won with out her, so her cheating impacts many extra human beings than purely her.
