Get the serial number and click on the link below. The age is found by the letters and numbers in the serial number.

look for any labels on the body, like a wiring diagram, they usually have a date code printed on them and that will give you a real close guess as to it's age. you would probably find it behind the lower panel (below the door). hope this helps. p.s., ge's new dishwashers won't last as long as your old one, neither will most of the other makes. i've got a 1975 kitchen aid and it's still going strong.

GE. Call or email them. They have records of every model they ever made.

all machine, have a id #. maybe a code #
even a serial #
the latter , may contain the year of manufacture
call .GE with the serial # and they will tell you
