I love acting... and my parents are freaks.
At my school, there is a free after school drama class that I snuck into. My parents told me I couldn't go, because I only had a 93 percent in math, and I had to raise it to a 95 before I could do it. I went, and they're gonna come home in an hour. help? This sounds bad, but, I need a lie! They know I wasn't home until 5, because I didn't pick up any phone calls! They're all there on the answering machine!

You're on your own there kid. Lying to your parents is no way to get them to let you do something that you want to do. If the deal is that you have to maintain a 95 in math, then you should be staying after with your math teacher to think up studying strategies.

good luck

The TRUTH is always the best policy. Your parents will NOT KILL YOU I promise! You can promise them that you will get your math score up to 95 - AND MEAN IT - by the end of next week. Just work hard and the drama class will still be there when you have wondeful math scores! Hope this helps.

By the way - I am a parent of 5 and I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO!

If you have a 93 and they won't let you do stuff without a 95...man, they need to lighten up. But that's none of my business. I would tell them you went and if you liked it then I'm sure you will bring your grades up to their incredibly high standard so you can go. I'm a teacher and if I had a student who's parents were like that I'd just give you the 2 points so you could go. I'm sure you would do something to earn it. Good luck.

Please try not to lie, the truth is always better even if you get in a little trouble. I know I would punish my kids a lot less if they tell the truth.

Not cool at all.

Don't start going down the wrong road.

Be honest with your parents.
