Great Indians Pitching is to blame for your Yankee loss. Everyone had to endure the bugs. All the players were swatting them. Midges are attracted to sweat and the Joba was sweating like crazy. Bug spray doesn't even work on midges. Don't blame the bugs - Blame Carmona and Perez for your Yankee loss.

I agree the bugs were a big problem, and the umps should have delayed the game so everyone could put a can of bug spay on them, but that's not why they lost the game. They lost the game because good pitching will win over good hitting, and the Indians out pitched the Yankees pure and simple. Pettite did great but only for 6 inning Fausto went 9. Hitting may be exciting but hitting does not win ball games pitching and defense does and Yankees lack in both, and I'm a die hard Yankee fan all my life and I'm saying this. Plus the Yankees have A Rod so any inning he is at bat it's like having only 2 out that inning because he is an automatic out, when he is at bat instead of wasting time just have A Rod sit on bench give the Yanks the out and go to Matsui.

Carmona and the Indians OWN the Yankees
LOL @ regular season stats, Carmona and Sabathia just showed the better team wins when it counts. Bugs or no bugs, both teams had to deal with and like I said, the better pitchers (Carmona OWNS Joba the Hutt) were able to endure through at the end
But oh wait I forgot you're a Yankee fan and need to come up with any excuse you can to justify. Man up and face it: Your team sucks lol

I agree with the 2nd answerer. Rain is one thing, Gnats is another. The Yankees would have probably won the game and escaped the inning safely if not for the bugs, but to call the game and take a 'break' would be st***.

you have a really good point. there were a lot of bugs on the feild but when the indian pitched they were gone and miraculously came back just in time for the yankees to pitch again. are you serious? BOTH teams had to deal with the bugs

Poor baby. Your right, they are screwed. You should appeal to the league commisoners office. Maybe the indians will lose because the yankees did not like the bugs that ruined their game. Actually the yankees were lucky to get 1 run on 4 hits. Since they truly are the better team.

Regardless of all the extra nonsense, Cleveland played this game very smart. Very smart base running, hitting (more appropriately bunting when the situation called for it) , they did a great job with individual at-bats, and managed to pull out a win despite the amount of runners left in scoring position. Poor Kenny Lofton...seemed like he was out on base the whole game...which is good for the Indians...I mean is there anyone else any team would rather have in that position?

Everyone played under the same circumstances.
Stop looking for excuses.
The Yankees will never win the World Series with A-Rod.

Not really, I would blame the bugs and yankees hittng. Indians sure played tough today.
It seems to me that there are lots of Indians fans or supporters, cut everytime when someone's answer praise/defend the yankess, the answer get more thumbs down than thumbs up.

I'm a Yankee fan and agree that the bugs really affected Joba. He got the worst part of it by far and I admit that I wanted some sort of delay. Nevertheless that really doesn't matter now, all we gotta worry about is winning the next 2 games in the Bronx and taking this series to a game 5.
