Both of those games you mentioned have (or should I say had?) non- violent develope-able characters. The Warcraft one has quests that may bring confrontations but think of them as toy creatures made up of 1's and 0's.

The kind where you "live in the world" instead of just try and conquer it? I agree with your examples. I like those two also and for the same reasons.

Other than SIMs online, the only one I can think of at the moment is SecondLife. Its kindof hard to find the game part of SecondLife but there are people who have turned parts of it into a world much like UO. I think that for getting the MOST ability to turn an online world into a place to live in the way you want to, SecondLife is a great example

By the way, I hope that you have tried the free UO servers. Everything I hated about the official servers (pkillers, crowds, market hype, no place to build on) I was able to avoid by finding a free server to my liking (ShazzyShard). There are over 300 free servers run by players and they have many different feels to them. Finding the free servers and trying them out put a couple of years back into my enjoyment of UO

I have played World of Warcraft for the past 2.5 years myself, but I suppose that also involves a fair amount of kill kill kill even if its against Person versus Environmental goals.

I suppose you could try Sims Online or something. (I've never played it so I dont know)
