It sounds like it's a source of comfort for him. It's not hurting anyone so more power to him.

Uhh
Maybe he's just attached to it. You should probably talk to him, its not bad or anything, but its...baby-ish.
When I was 13 my parents were like "What are you going to tell your wife when you'd rather cuddle the blanket than her?"
I just stopped after that, and its perfectly fine. I realized I was a little too close to my security blanket LOL. (Literally and figuratively).

That is a tad bit odd for a 15 year-old, especially a male.
It seems that he needs nuturing, something to make him feel secure. Either he's insecure with himself, or his blanket soothes him, gives him security when he needs it. This is just my guess.

Well does it have any motaphoric meaning to him?! I know someone when their mom went on long work trips they'd have a ritual of wearing the same exact nightgown she left me them in just to reminisce. If it's trauma related that's normal but otherwise I'm afraid not. HAs his parents spoken to him about it?

I'm 18 and still sleep with a stuff rabbit name Mr. Raspberry. And I'm not afraid to admit that.
But he will probably grow out of it. It's kind of a security for him.

Stop being so macho. It probably bothers you that he is comfortable enough to do what feels right to him, despite what other people think. He's completely normal. Are you? Why don't you tell us a little about yourself? LOL
