Anything FUN. I like the cleopatra and flapper costume; cleopatra because all I had to do was put on a white dress, elaborate jewelry and thick eyeliner, and the flapper was fun because I got to wear artsy dresses and feathers and jewelry I could never wear normally! :)

Mother Nature
You'll need:
Silk flowers and silk plant leaves
Twigs. Moss, from a craft store
Bird, Fabric glue,
Old skirt and shirt and shoes.
Instructions:
Randomly glue moss, flowers and twigs on the outfit and shoes. Use the moss to make a nest and glue the bird in it. Glue that to the shoulder of your outfit. Can get old clothes, wigs, etc. at thrift stores.
American Tourist
You'll need:
Loud mismatched clothing. Hawian Shirt or dress,Sun glasses, Camera with strap, Large carry bag with everything but the kitchen sink in it.
Large straw sun hat, Sandals, Guidebooks
Instructions:
Dress in the costume and place the camera around your neck. Take pictures of everything. Ask directions to everywhere you go. Put your nose in the guidebook as you walk around the party.
Pile of leaves
You'll need:
Hoodie sweat shirt and pants in red or gold. Fall colored silk leaves. Safety pins, fabric glue or needle and thread
Instructions:
Attach leaves to sweat suit outfit using the pins, glue or thread. Attach as many as you can. Voila! You're a pile of leaves. If a friend wants to join you, they can just wear jeans and carry a rake. Pin few leaves on their clothes too.

I'm being a punk faerie this year and I'm in 8th grade. I would just go to the costume store and pick out something you like. (If it has a skirt, be careful about the length though. Nobody has any modesty anymore).

a big bag of ice. you can take a clear plastic trash bag and glue the words on the front and inside with the child you can make cubes out of white construction paper. or a bunch of grapes. tape or pin big purple balloons all around the child with purple tights and paint their face and hair green for the stem. they are both really cute!

my cuz was a vampire hunter last year an she looked awsome she wore a black leather pair of pants an jacket and a dark gray shirt and a blak pair of short heels (not the slutty kind) and a giant knife (fake) strapped to her back. Try that out if u like the idea, hope it helps.
