Well, I went over to Netgear and read the manual, you can not configure this router as a bridge (which is what you need to receive wireless signals and send them to the ethernet ports.)

So your answer is NO you can't use this unit to receive that signal. There are devices made that will do this, just hunt for wireless bridges or wireless ethernet converters.
Here is a Buffalo Technologies unit that I have used and it works very well.

Now that all that is said, if you do not have your neighbors permission to connect to his/her network, you will be committing a crime. It is subject to some high fines and even in some cases jail time. SO get the owners permission to use his/her internet! (Its like using his swimming pool just because its there and not asking to use it. It is trespass at the very least, can be considered theft of services, and a computer felony for connecting to a network without permission.. look it up, there are laws in the US, Canada, UK, and most other countries!)

With the signal level you are getting the game will lag (particularly if your neighbor is also using the internet!)

The best answer I can give you is to GET YOUR OWN internet connection and your own wireless router so you can game without any issues.

Your wireless router is programmed by the Cable Company with the network assigned to you by them. This is and will be your family's private network. Other networks shown will be open ones unsecured and secured and other private networks. If a person has more than one network it is because he has bought those networks or is renting them through the cable company. You can use unsecured networks but you privacy is and will be none. your connection can and will be interrupted at the most inconvenient times. I say this from my own inexperienced times a few years past. Good Luck.

If you happen to get a better signal....which your router will not be able to make your neighbors stronger........

anyway.....you will be lagging BAD on xbox using a wireless signal...especially as weak as that one is

even if it were strong...wired it way better.

reckoning on the fashions and firmware revisions, the respond is probable. it incredibly is talked approximately as a on the spot Bridge. you will ought to peruse your the firmware/manuals for the two routers to work out in the event that they help this. understand that by skill of permitting this, you won't be waiting to apply on the spot on the two get admission to factor for customers (because of the fact the get admission to factors would be dedicated to connecting to a minimum of one yet another). you will then would desire to be waiting to connect by way of an ethernet cable on the different (the netgear one probably).

there are certain routers that can be changed into wifi extenders, but you would have to look it up in google or something.
