So John McCain says he doesn't wear one all the time either. Some of the other Republican candidates have been seen without them as well.
Is this really that important? Or is it simply another tale full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he didn't make it an issue. He was asked why he doesn't wear it and gave an answer. It seems to me that the media was making it an issue.
But then again, I don't have a yellow ribbon on my car, so I guess I'm unpatriotic and do not support the troops. This is yet another example of the Republican strategy of "us vs. them". It's getting tiresome.

In typical GOP fashion, this is just another wedge issue brought into the limelight in order to divert media and public attention away from the issues that actually matter (costly foreign conflicts, health care, education, etc.).
The Republican Party is simply desperate to look for ANYTHING to "pin" upon the Democratic candidates come election season. They know public opinion is mostly against them and playing the patriotism card is all they have left, and even that is getting old.

This is ludacris and NO... not important !!!
The last thing that I look for (and on) a Candidate is a Flag Pin. Give Me A Break !!
Let me guess......this has the resounding ring of some right wing nutjob signaling because they have nothing better to say.....except for looking at lapels.
It signifies nothing !!!

that is an election season. Any information is nice information. different than once you degrade the 2d in line for the Democratic nomination... exciting math. the tale had no bite. yet it became extorted. Hillary Clinton has Darth Vader for a campaign supervisor. Patty Solis-Doyle. Then the darkish stress employs over 4 hundred typhoon infantrymen. something unfavorable assume Hillary '08 is in the back of it. Even her very own hits. She is in thick with Rupert Murdoch (Google murdoch-clinton). that is all deliberate political attitude. Welcome to the international of politics. What pin? Who cares? He stated too plenty and became caught off preserve via a brownie reporter. this is the factor. He did no longer cope with the warmth. (around table ABCNews This Weekend w/ George Stephanopoulos) Hillary '08 gets greater empathy as she is perceived attacked. Oh Scarlet!! 13 yrs of stress.... blabla hahaha right here and there. in uncomplicated terms a song and dance. thank you.

Obama said he was wanting to make a statement by taking it off. Since he didn't elaborate on what the statement was it left others to guess. I could care less what he wears or doesn't wear.

Something to create controversy over that has no real consequence to votes and to take up news time. They would fight about this all the way to election day if they could get away with it.

A non issue to me. I care more about how they vote than whether they are wearing a pin.

I'd say its a slow news day for the media. It's important to whom it's important to. Why call other Americans stupid? It doesn't make you look smarter.
