I tried taking a new kind of sleeping pill last night, and it helped me sleep OK, but I still feel really drowsy now. Has anyone ever had drowsiness last all day after taking a sleeping pill the night before?

Thanks for the answer. My question is, is it normal to be sleepy for the entire next day? I took the sleeping pill almost 24 hours ago, and have been really tired all day long.

Yes, I don't like them. Though Ambien seemed only to work for 4 hours for me. Tylenol PM works well for me. Give it a try. It doesn't make you drowsy all the next day. It is the Benadryl in it that makes you sleepy, so if you wanted to, you could take Benadryl or what ever is the generic for it. A doctor I know told me never to take more that 100 mg. I take 50 mg.
