infatuation is where your obsessed or like the other person who doesnt have the same feelings for you.
Love is where its a mutual feeling between two people who care about each other.

Infatuation is the feeling you get for two years when you meet someone you care about. You have that sighing feeling when you get around them, and you're always feeling like you're floating on the clouds. It doesn't really mean anything. You don't feel willing to do anything useful for them yet, and you can stop liking them suddenly. Love is not a feeling, it is a commitment. You will not be happy in love all the time. You will have your problems, but you will always go back to your significant other. You will also be willing to die for them, and you can't stop loving them if it's true love.

I'll tell you from experience.
Infatuation is strictly emotional and comes and goes at the slightest whim.
Love is respect, first and foremost. Love is that thing that kicks in when you don't always feel that emotional connection...
love is a decision, where as infatuation is being carried away on emotion and often makes people irrational!
