Hi
I am half English/American and i have my second home in West Virginia ..at the moment I live in the UK where I was educated and brought up ..It is very expensive here in the UK as our taxes are very high compared to the US but its a wonderful country to live in despite that...The USA however has some disadvantages i.e. The cost of medical insurance and most of the utiliies are higher to pay for
I have 3 years to retirement (but could have retired at 60 in USA) and have not yet decided where to spend my time after retirement so i will probably live 6 months per year in each country
P.S If you have never been to the UK I suggest you visit its great

Only getting worse.
Just look at the number of people leaving the country. We've had an open door for too long for people to enter.
It's not a race thing, just the fact that in such a small country such as ours. theres not enough well paid jobs to go around, Public Servies and Health Services are stretched to breaking point and we've had a sucession of Governments that does listen to its people, more of an elected Dictatorship. ( but I suspect thats just like any government).
Oh and the weather is awful for 11 Months a year.
Never been to America but in a Country that size, surely if you Moved there, you could find Community, Climate etc that suits you.

uk people is ok or british
but brits sounds as though its
being said by the ira or their supporters
even the french dont describe us that way
its like me calling you a yank i dont think its
a very nice description or name
i get the impression when someone uses brits or yanks
in their statement it isnt going to be a positive remark which follows about the people or that country
