Hi,
I had a platy that gave birth 2 weeks ago almost and now i have another one that is pregnant, 4 in all actually. The one right now is acting weird. My other one was much calmer when she had her babies. This one right now has been all over the tank and going up and down the tank and back and fourth quickly. I left and came back to check on her and she was sitting at the bottom between a rock. I didnt want to seperate her too soon though. Is it possible she could be ready to give birth. Ask only because my other one was totally different and just hid the entire time. I appreciate it thanks.

Actually that's behaviour i usually always obseverved with platy's
she sounds like she is ready

But my recommendation is not to separate her, but put live plants into your tank, which gives your female a better surviving chance, because she doesn't get as stressed as in a breeder

Unless you have a separate breeding tank where you can put her in, i would leave her where she is

I always had 5-15 fry survive just by them hiding in the plants

Hope that helps
Good luck

hmmm.... she could be stressed....
but then again, every animal is different, so she panicked when she's about to deliver.

one thing for sure, you only need to keep her comfy!

good luck
