if I go out drinking tonight with my friends
and I drink heavy, what effects will this one night have on my brain, will my brain recover from the damage, since brain cells do not regenerate
I use to smoke cannabis sativa because I know it kills no brains cells due to its low toxicity, but I know alcohol WILL kill brain cells because of its high toxicity plus it is well documented by scientists
please help
my friends drink heavy, and i'm sure this will be a binge

Rather than drinking with your buddies, how about offering to be their designated driver. First off, you won't be losing brain or liver cells. Secondly, you'll remember what happened during the night. Thirdly, you can help keep your friends from doing anything stupid.
My husband is often the designated driver when he's away on training because he doesn't drink. He usually ends up getting a steak dinner in exchange for the role of DD. One night, before his buddies became too plastered, one of the guys said, "Man, we get so drunk that if you were to tell us that you needed $100 from each of us for pizza, we'd do it and would never remember it in the morning".
I just wanted to share this with you, not to give you ideas on how to trick your friends but just a heads up on what can happen during a binge. Good luck with your decision.

I have difficulty understanding why anyone would plan to drink heavy in advance of the event. Alcohol is the most dangerous drug there is because it effects so my parts of the body and brain. Haven't you gotten the memo on that? There are countless books and net sites that talk about this. The only approach to drinking that makes any sense at all is one of moderation.

ya he said it the best u do not need to drink It will be more fun tomorrow when they can't get out of bed and are sick and you are fine going about your day.
And yes u have a better chance of being all smashed up and dead from drinking then killing brain cells.
DON"T DRINK ( go sounds like your friends need a driver but.... Don't drink

Yes, alcohol and drug use causes brain damage. No, brain cells do not regenerate, meaning any brain damage is permanent. What is attractive about having to ask someone what happened at the party if you end up blacking out?

occasional nights of heavy drinking is not going to kill your brain to a noticeable affect. You have a better chance of dieing in a car crash while drunk driving than doing any brain damage from binge drinking

Just because your friends are going to get plastered? Why ? If they all jumped off the cliff would you? Why is it so hard to be an individual these days. Why don't you stay sober and be a designated driver and after you watch your friends fall all over the place and barfing all over each other you'll be glad that you didn't drink.

If you think heavy drinking is good - I suggest that your brain is already damaged - not to mention your liver.

Define "heavy", for if you go to excess, you could barf your guts out.
There will be damage, but it would be of a limited nature

If you can avoid drinking then don't and someday you will be glad you never did.
